2018 Final LRDP Environmental Review
With the proposal to adopt the 2018 Long Range Development Plan (2018 LRDP), UC Davis prepared the 2018 LRDP Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR), pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and published on April 13, 2018.
The Draft EIR analyzed the potential environmental impacts of implementing the 2018 LRDP and the potential project-specific environmental effects associated with two student-housing components of the 2018 LRDP: the West Village Expansion and the Orchard Park Redevelopment.
The Draft EIR was circulated for review and comment by the public and other interested parties, agencies, and organizations from April 13, 2018 to May 29, 2018. A public hearing was held on May 3, 2018 at 7 p.m. to receive verbal input from agencies and the public on the Draft EIR. After close of the public comment period, responses to written and oral comments on environmental issues were prepared. Consistent with CCR Section 15088(b), commenting agencies were provided a minimum of 10 days to review the proposed responses to their comments before any action was taken on the Final EIR or project.
The 2018 LRDP and the Final EIR were presented to the Board of Regents of the University of California at their July 18 & 19, 2018 meeting. The Board of Regent certified the Final EIR on July 19, 2018.
